WordPress 6.9.1 OK to Update

It’s okay to start updating to the latest version of WordPress! If we manage your updates, we’ll be updating your site soon.

If you manage your own updates, we recommend running any pending plugin updates first and then updating core.

Additionally, please let UpdraftPlus run the pre-update backup when prompted and do a good check of your site, both front-end and back-end after updating.

New major WordPress versions come with hundreds of changes and fixes (yay!)…but often big, new bugs, too (boo!). 🐞 This update in particular has a lot of changes.

P.S. Many plugins will also be releasing updates to ensure compatibility with the new version of WordPress core, so numbers of pending plugin updates may seem higher than usual but this common with a major core update.
