WordPress Core 7.0 Bugs - Wait for 7.0.1

WordPress core version 7.0.1, a minor maintenance release to address a 31 bugs and issues with 7.0 was released late last week.

Currently, things are looking stable with 7.0.1, so we’re giving the 👍 begin updating.

If you manage your own updates…

It’s clear to start updating (make sure to follow normal safe updating procedures like taking a backup).

If our team manages your updates…

We’ve begun updating core on sites and should work through the updates by sometime next week.

Several bugs have been identified in 7.0 including an issue with button layouts for major publishing buttons in the editor.

7.0.1 is already in the works. At this time it looks like we’ll be holding off to update until the bug fixes are released.
